Journal of China & Foreign Highway (formerly Foreign Highway) was founded in 1980 and is a bimonthly journal supervised and sponsored by Changsha University of Science & Technology. It is publicly distributed through post offices nationwide to highway, municipal, railway, water conservancy, construction, and other related systems and industries, with a large circulation and wide influence. It is a National Chinese Core Journal, RCCSE Chinese Core Academic Journal, First (2006) Characteristic Science and Technology Journal of Chinese Universities, Excellent Technical Science and Technology Journal of Chinese Universities, Core Science and Technology Journal of China (Statistical Source Journal of Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers, selected by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China), Top Ten Science and Technology Journals of Hunan Province, its "Bridge and Tunnel Engineering" column won the First (2008) Excellent Column of Hunan Province, and in 2009 it won the National University Science and Technology Journal Excellent Editing Quality Award. It is a full-text journal included in the China Journal Full-text Database and the Chinese Core Journal (Selection) Database, and a statistical source journal of the Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database. It has been repeatedly rated as an Excellent Journal by the Ministry of Transport and Hunan Province.
