Zheng Jianlong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, road engineering expert. Born in 1954 in Shaodong County, Hunan Province. Graduated from Chang'an University in 2001 with a doctoral degree in Road and Railway Engineering. Currently serves as Director of the National Engineering Research Centre of Road Maintenance Technologies, Executive Deputy Director of the National Key Laboratory of Green and Durable Road Engineering in Extreme Environments, and also serves as Vice Chairman of the China Highway and Transportation Society, Member of the Executive Committee of the International Road Federation (IRF), and Chairman of the New-type Think Tank Alliance of the Ministry of Transport.
Academician Zheng Jianlong has long been engaged in scientific research, technology development, and engineering practice in the fields of road engineering and geotechnical engineering. He has published over 300 academic papers and 12 academic monographs, obtained 75 national invention patents, and co-edited 6 industry standards. He has presided over projects that won 1 First Prize and 1 Second Prize of the State Science and Technology Advancement Award; and has also received 1 First Prize of the Provincial and Ministerial Technology Innovation Award, 2 Grand Prizes and 10 First Prizes of the Science and Technology Advancement Award, and more than 10 other awards. He has presided over projects that won 2 Second Prizes of the National Teaching Achievement Award and 2 First Prizes of the Provincial Teaching Achievement Award. He has been awarded over ten honors and awards, including the State Council Special Government Allowance, National "Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions", "National Outstanding Scientific and Technical Worker", "Outstanding Achievement Award in Transportation Science and Technology" of the Ministry of Transport, "Wu Fu–Zhenhua Transportation Education Contribution Award" of the Ministry of Transport, Hunan Province "Science and Technology Leading Talent", "Outstanding Expert of Hunan Province", and Hunan Province "Guangzhao Science and Technology Award".
