Education: Graduated from the former Changsha Communications University in June 1990 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Highway and Urban Road Engineering; graduated from the College of Civil Engineering, Hunan University in December 2000 with a Master of Engineering degree in Road and Railway Engineering; graduated from Changsha University of Science & Technology in December 2007 with a Doctor of Engineering degree in Road and Railway Engineering.

Over the years, he has won 2 Second Prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 provincial and ministerial-level Grand Prize, 8 First Prizes, and more than 20 Second and Third Prizes; 2 Second Prizes of the National Teaching Achievement Award, 5 First Prizes and 2 Second Prizes of the Provincial Teaching Achievement Award. He has publicly published over 200 academic papers, obtained more than 20 national patents, and published 5 monographs and 3 textbooks.
